NRS-9551 | Publicans' compensation fee and license books

This series results from the provision in the Liquor Amendment Act of 1919 whereby the Licenses Reduction Board was empowered to fix compensation fees payable by licensees of premises whose licenses were not withdrawn and to assess the amount of compensation payable in cases where licenses were withdrawn. The information is arranged under the following headings: certificate number, date of fixing fee, situation (town and electorate), quantity of liquor purchased in previous year (the value is shown in monetary pounds and in gallons for wine, spirits and beer respectively), compensation (license fee), date paid, and notations. There is one volume with an alphabetical index at the front. (3/1909-18, 3/1942-49). 18 vols.
