Bulk RNA sequencing of skin biopsies from psoriasis patients treated with Dead Sea climatotherapy

This study investigated the cellular and molecular effects of Dead Sea climatotherapy in psoriasis patients who achieved complete remission. Overall design: Skin punch biopsies from eight patients, who obtained PASI-100 response with climatotherapy, were obtained at baseline, end-of-treatment and relapse. Lesional skin (L) were collected at each visit, whereas non-lesional skin (NL) were only collected at the baseline visit. Bulk RNA sequencing was performed on extracted total RNA.

本研究探究了死海气候疗法（Dead Sea climatotherapy）对达到完全缓解的银屑病（psoriasis）患者产生的细胞与分子效应。
总体实验设计：招募8名经该疗法获得银屑病面积与严重程度指数100（PASI-100）应答的患者，分别在基线、治疗结束及复发三个时间点采集其皮肤钻孔活检标本；每次访视均采集皮损区皮肤（L）样本，非皮损区皮肤（NL）仅在基线访视时采集。对提取的总RNA开展批量RNA测序（bulk RNA sequencing）。
