Experimental Datasets on Inter-Species Sensitivity of Non-Target Arthropods to Plant Protection Products (AENEAS WP2)
收藏资源简介:
These datasets contain experimental data generated within the framework of the Work Package (WP) 2 of the AENEAS (“On advancing the environmental risk assessment of nontarget arthropods for plant protection products by accounting for the impact on ecosystem services and on the ecological function”) project, focusing on the assessment of inter-species sensitivity of non-target arthropods (NTAs) to plant protection products (PPPs). A total of sixteen arthropod species were selected as representatives of the most vulnerable families of NTAs, key drivers for pest control and pollination. The study evaluated the effects of three insecticides with different modes of action, tested as commercial formulations: Karate Garden (active ingredient, lambda-cyhalothrin); Sanium (a. i., flupyradifurone) and Mainspring (a. i., cyantraniliprole). Exposure was performed through direct spray application using a Potter tower spray system, ensuring uniform and controlled deposition of the test substances. A range of application rates was applied in each experiment and exposure levels were verified using filter discs. The datasets include raw experimental observations of organism responses across multiple time points, including mortality and abnormal behaviours (e.g., moribund and affected individuals). Data are structured following tidy data principles, with clear variable definitions provided in the accompanying metadata. These datasets support comparative analysis of species sensitivity and contribute to improving ecological risk assessment frameworks for non-target arthropods.
