XML Data Documentation for Working Conditions 1993

In 1989, Statistics Norway (SSB) conducted a comprehensive survey to map various aspects of working life, such as the work environment, wage conditions, union activities, negotiations, job satisfaction, and attitudes toward work. An important objective was also to examine employees' experiences of their workplace in the context of broader conditions within the company. Around 1990, working life underwent significant changes, and in 1993, a follow-up survey was conducted among the employee respondents from the 1989 survey to shed light on how this process had affected them. The focus was particularly directed toward issues such as wages and employment conditions, the work environment, and management. The initiative, planning, and execution of the survey were carried out by Statistics Norway (SSB) and the Institute for Social Research (ISF).
