Data of experimentally deformed saw-cut Carrara marble across the Brittle-Ductile Transition

The data set contains original axial displacement and internal force data and corrected stress-strain data for all 17 saw-cut Carrara marble, which were deformed in triaxial compression at temperatures of 20 – 600°C, confining pressures of 30 – 150 MPa, and constant axial strain rate 1x10-5 s-1, and also other relevant data of the figures in the paper. Depending on the applied conditions, which are nominally in the semi-brittle deformation regime of solid Carrara marble, we observed the complete spectrum of natural faulting, stable fault sliding, unstable stick-slip, and bulk deformation with locked fault. The experiments were conducted in the Experimental Rock Deformation Laboratory of the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam, Germany. The experimental conditions are listed in Tab. 1.
