Alterations in the gut microbiome and metabolome profiles of septic mice treated with Shen Fuhuang Formula

Sepsis has a high mortality rate, and the treatment of sepsis remains a significant challenge worldwide. Our previous study suggested that a traditional Chinese medicine formula, Shen FuHuang formula (SFH), has shown promising therapeutic effects in the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients with the septic syndrome. However, the underlying mechanism remains unclear. In the present study, we first investigated the therapeutic effects of SFH on septic mice.

脓毒症（Sepsis）具有较高的病死率，其临床治疗仍是全球范围内的重大挑战。本团队前期研究表明，中药方剂参附黄方（Shen FuHuang formula，SFH）对合并脓毒症证候的新型冠状病毒肺炎（coronavirus disease 2019，COVID-19）患者展现出颇具前景的治疗效果，但其潜在的作用机制仍不明确。本研究首次探究了参附黄方对脓毒症小鼠的治疗效果。
