VPRS 8833 Policy Files (Records Not Transferred)

This series contains the policy files of the two agencies responsible for the education and registration of nurses within Victoria, namely the Nurses Board (VA 3144) and the Victorian Nursing Council (VA 1352).Information that may be found within this series includes:- the minutes of the various sub-committees, which were established by the Board and the Council to formulate policy and procedures in regard to the registration of nurses, and- correspondence between various organisations pertaining to nursing such as: government and private agencies, unions, educational institutions and health agencies.Separate filing sequences were created to deal with non policy matters. These have been registered as VPRS 8832 Correspondence Files (Institutions) and VPRS 8834 General Correspondence Files.
