The purpose of the dataset C. elegans terminal bulb aging is to deduce the age of the nemathode based on images of the pharynx terminal bulb (part of the eating apparatus). Images of C. elegans were taken at different chronological ages. This image is part of the day 2 data set. Note that the morphological and chronological ages are not fully correlated due to the variability among individuals even though the individuals are genetically identical. The source for the dataset is Laboratory of Genetics/NIA/NIH.本数据集为秀丽隐杆线虫（C. elegans）咽终端球衰老数据集，旨在基于咽终端球（进食器官的组成部分）的图像推断线虫的实龄。该数据集的图像采集自不同实龄的秀丽隐杆线虫，本图像属于第2天数据集的一部分。需注意，即便个体遗传背景完全一致，由于个体间存在差异，其形态学年龄与实龄之间并不完全相关。该数据集的来源为遗传学实验室/美国国立衰老研究所（NIA）/美国国立卫生研究院（NIH）。
