The sample is 135 informal caregivers, some of them take care more than one dependent person. Data was collected between 2014-2016.Sociodemographic characteristics of caregivers and dependent persons, the level of cooperation between dependent individual and caregiver, information about the caregiver's own health: perceived health status and the presence of psychological or psychiatric disease and health status of the dependent persons was collected.Caregivers also filled out at home a diary where they write the exact amount of minutes devote to performing each activity of the daily life of behalf of the dependent person. Activities were indicated how ofter they occurred, and those minutes were later averaged to derive a per-day measure. The minutes allocated to housework were adjusted for household size (using the OECD's equivalence scale). The short version of the ZBI which comprises 7 questions [range 7-35]. Scoring 17 or more are viewed as being "severely" burdened. DEP-6D index was filled in. The scores can be as low as -0.84 and as high as 1 (no dependence).A mean ZBI score was obtained for each caregiver-dependent pair. IT was also estimated three logistic regression models to analyse the association between the variables just described and the likelihood of being severely burdened and three linear regression models to measure the association between these mean ZBI scores and the characteristics of the corresponding dependent person and caregiver. The dependent variable was ZBI and the explanatory variables were the caregiver's and dependent's characteristics. Sociodemographic data and health status of the caregiver were always included. Dependence was measured by accounting for the minutes of care or using the DEP-6D index. The dimension of DEP-6D were transformed into binary variables to introduce in some models. It was approved by the Committee on Ethics of Clinical Research in Galicia (code 2012/381).<br>
