Neonatal Mortality Rate

This dataset presents the number of neonatal deaths per 1,000 live births, using data from the UNICEF Data Warehouse. Neonatal mortality refers to the death of a baby within the first 28 days of life and is a critical indicator of newborn health and health system performance. Monitoring this rate supports efforts to improve the quality of care around birth and during the early postnatal period, and to reduce preventable newborn deaths through timely, skilled interventions.
