To provide genomic basis for the plant growth promoting activity of Pseudomonas species. An abiotic stress tolerant plant growth promoting rhizobacterium, named Pseudomonas putida MTCC5279 was isolated from the roots of field grown chickpea (Cicer arietinum L. cv. Radhey) in a rain-fed area of Dholpur, Rajasthan, India. Our experiments have found that Pseudomonas putida MTCC5279 could tolerate PEG and NaCl upto 60% and 500 mM respectively, produced Auxin, 70.23 µg ml-1, displayed phosphate solubilization ability using insoluble tri-calcium phosphate (TCP) and promotes plant growth. Therefore, sequencing of this strain is tried to find and determine the genes and pathways, to compare its genome sequence with other strains and find its special characteristics.

本研究旨在为假单胞菌属(Pseudomonas)菌株的植物促生长活性提供基因组学依据。本研究从印度拉贾斯坦邦多赫普尔雨养农田种植的鹰嘴豆(Cicer arietinum L. cv. Radhey)根系中,分离得到一株兼具非生物胁迫耐受性与植物促生功能的根际细菌——恶臭假单胞菌(Pseudomonas putida)MTCC5279。实验结果表明,该菌株可分别耐受浓度达60%的聚乙二醇(PEG)与500 mM的氯化钠(NaCl),生长素(Auxin)产量可达70.23 µg·ml⁻¹,具备以不溶性磷酸三钙(TCP)为底物的溶磷能力,并可有效促进植物生长。因此,本研究对该菌株进行全基因组测序,以鉴定其相关基因与代谢通路,并通过与其他菌株的基因组序列比对,挖掘其独特的生物学特征。
