This item provide the results of a control experiment about investigating the impacts of convective heat transfer (CHT) on permafrost active layer thermal regime. We applied the Simultaneous Heat and Water (SHAW) model to investigate the impacts of CHT on active layer thermal dynamics on the Tanggula station, a typical permafrost site located at the eastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. The control experiment includes three setups: (1) the original SHAW model with full consideration of CHT; (2) a modified SHAW model ignoring the CHT due to infiltration from the surface, and (3) a modified SHAW model ignoring complete CHT processes in the system. By comparing the differences between the simulated soil temperature and water content of the three setups, the impacts of CHT on active layer could be quantified.<br>To ensure that the experiment at TGL was not and exception, we performed a similar simulation at another permafrost site (coded QT08) on the QTP to verify results of CHT.<br>The source codes of Simultaneous Heat and Water (SHAW) Model can be freely downloaded from USDA Agricultural Research Service (https://www.ars.usda.gov/pacific-west-area/boise-id/northwest-watershed-research-center/docs/shaw-model/). 本数据集提供了一项对照实验的成果,该实验旨在探究对流换热(Convective Heat Transfer, CHT)对多年冻土活动层热状况的影响。本研究依托位于青藏高原东部的典型多年冻土站点——唐古拉站,采用同步水热(Simultaneous Heat and Water, SHAW)模型,分析对流换热对活动层热动力过程的作用效果。本次对照实验包含三组设置:(1)完整考虑对流换热的原始SHAW模型;(2)忽略地表入渗引发的对流换热的改进型SHAW模型;(3)忽略系统内全部对流换热过程的改进型SHAW模型。通过对比三组设置模拟得到的土壤温度与含水量差异,可量化对流换热对多年冻土活动层的影响。<br>为验证唐古拉站实验结果不具备特殊性,我们在青藏高原另一编号为QT08的多年冻土站点开展了同类模拟实验,以佐证对流换热的影响规律。<br>同步水热(SHAW)模型的源代码可从美国农业部农业研究服务局(USDA Agricultural Research Service)免费获取,下载链接为https://www.ars.usda.gov/pacific-west-area/boise-id/northwest-watershed-research-center/docs/shaw-model/。本研究中唐古拉站的气象驱动数据、活动层实测温度与含水量数据,可从国家冰川冻土沙漠科学数据中心(National Cryosphere Desert Data Center)下载,下载链接为https://www.ncdc.ac.cn/portal/
