Lignocellulose degrading bacteria are important in many industries such as feed and paper industries, and also as a source of enzymatic extracts for scarification of cellulose in second generation bioethanol production. We have isolated a Cellulomonas sp strain, which we named B6, from decaying native forest soil with high xylanolytic and cellulolytic activity. We have obtained a draft version of the bacterial genome using the Illumina MiSeq sequencing platform and have identified new glycosyl hydrolases with a wide array of enzymatic activities. This work supports the high potential of Cellulomonas genus as a source of cellulolytic enzymes.
木质纤维素降解菌在饲料工业、造纸工业等诸多产业中具备重要应用价值,同时亦可作为第二代生物乙醇生产过程中用于纤维素松解的酶提取物来源。本研究从具有高木聚糖酶与纤维素酶活性的腐朽原生林土壤中,分离得到一株命名为B6的纤维单胞菌属(Cellulomonas)菌株。本研究依托Illumina MiSeq测序平台完成了该菌株的细菌基因组草图测序,并鉴定得到一系列具有多样酶活特性的新型糖基水解酶。本研究证实了纤维单胞菌属作为纤维素降解酶来源的极高应用潜力。
