Reef Watch - Intertidal

Reef Watch aims to gather and disseminate quality information on the status of our marine environment. We do this with the input of many of South Australia's top marine scientists and educators along with the help of hundreds of volunteers.

Reef Watch uses a PADI-accredited training program that provides recreational scuba divers with the necessary skills to gather valuable information about the marine environment. Intertidal volunteers also contribute to the growing body of information being used for the better management of human impacts on Australia's temperate reefs.

This information is used by Reef Watch to increase community awareness of marine environmental issues and is also available to government bodies, research institutions and schools.

Through sound ecological knowledge comes sound management and a sustainable future.

礁区监测计划（Reef Watch）旨在收集并传播关于海洋环境现状的高质量信息。本计划依托南澳大利亚州众多顶尖海洋科学家与教育工作者的参与，以及数百名志愿者的协助开展相关工作。
本计划采用经国际专业潜水教练协会（Professional Association of Diving Instructors, PADI）认证的培训项目，为休闲水肺潜水员传授采集海洋环境珍贵数据所需的专业技能。潮间带志愿者亦为不断丰富的数据集贡献力量，这些数据将用于优化人类活动对澳大利亚温带礁区影响的管理工作。
礁区监测计划将上述数据用于提升公众对海洋环境问题的认知，同时也向政府机构、科研院所及学校开放数据资源。
