Comparative analysis of prokaryotic genera in microbialites worldwide

To compare the genera of prokaryotes found in Pozo Bravo microbialites with those in modern microbialites from other locations around the world - Alchichica Lake, Puebla, Mexico (SRP061655, SRP072547); Great Salt Lake, Utah, United States (SRP067068); Highborne Cay, Bahamas (SRP004035); Pavilion Lake, British Columbia, Canada (SRP035880, ERP020021); Hamelin Pool, Shark Bay, Australia (SRP055055); Clifton Lake, Yalgorup National Park, Australia (SRP072185); and Socompa Lake, Salta, Argentina (SRP007748, SRP072938, ERP021393) - an UpSet plot was generated using the R package <i>UpSetR</i>. The prokaryotic composition of these modern microbialites was also determined with the MGnify metagenomic analysis pipeline v.5.0 using raw sequence data downloaded from the SRA (Sequence Read Archive) projects specified above.
