This dataset was generated for "A Statistical Evaluation of WRF-LES Trace Gas Dispersion Using Project Prairie Grass Measurements" (MWR). It contains 10-minute averaged trace gas and meteorological fields from six WRF-LES simulations as well as the namelists used to generate the meteorological fields. Three of these simulations have strong surface heating and weak geostrophic winds ("SCBL"). The other three look at weak heating and strong geostrophic winds ("WCBL"). Three different resolutions are also examined for each set of forcing: coarse, moderate, and fine. These simulations all contain an emission source at the lowest grid cells, whereas the "_elev" simulations contain emissions a few grid cells aloft. Version 1 of this dataset has fields that were generated with a roughness length of 0.1 m whereas Version 2 fields were generated with a roughness length of 0.008 m. Version 2 fields were used in the final version of the manuscript.

本数据集为《基于普雷里草甸项目(Project Prairie Grass)测量数据开展WRF耦合大涡模拟(WRF-LES)痕量气体扩散的统计评估》(MWR)一文构建生成。数据集包含6组WRF-LES模拟得到的10分钟平均痕量气体与气象场数据,以及用于生成气象场的多份namelist配置文件(namelist)。其中3组模拟配置为强地表加热与弱地转风的强迫条件,标记为强地表加热弱地转风工况(SCBL);剩余3组则采用弱地表加热与强地转风的强迫条件,标记为弱地表加热强地转风工况(WCBL)。针对每一类强迫工况,还分别设置了粗、中、细三种不同的网格分辨率开展模拟。所有模拟均在最底层网格单元设置了排放源,而带有“_elev”后缀的模拟则将排放源布置在距地面数个网格单元的高空位置。本数据集V1版本的场数据采用0.1米的粗糙度长度参数生成,而V2版本的场数据则采用0.008米的粗糙度长度参数生成。该论文的最终定稿版本采用了V2版本的场数据。
