This is the second sequencend genome of a thermophilic species of the recently discovered cyanobacterial order Gloeomargaritales.. Gloeomargaritales cyanobacterium VI4D9 genome sequencing

In order to better understand the specificities of the recently discovered cyanobacterial group called Gloeomargaritales, we have performed cultural enrichment and sequenced a new species belonging to this group. This thermophilic species called Thermomargarita ahousahtiae (strain Vi4D9) has been isolated from Vancouver Island microbial mats.

为深入解析新近发现的Gloeomargaritales蓝细菌类群的特异性特征，本研究开展了培养富集实验，并对隶属于该类群的一个新物种完成了测序。该嗜热新物种命名为Thermomargarita ahousahtiae（菌株Vi4D9），分离自温哥华岛的微生物垫中。
