In order to better understand the specificities of the recently discovered cyanobacterial group called Gloeomargaritales, we have performed cultural enrichment and sequenced a new species belonging to this group. This thermophilic species called Thermomargarita ahousahtiae (strain Vi4D9) has been isolated from Vancouver Island microbial mats.为深入解析新近发现的Gloeomargaritales蓝细菌类群的特异性特征，本研究开展了培养富集实验，并对隶属于该类群的一个新物种完成了测序。该嗜热新物种命名为Thermomargarita ahousahtiae（菌株Vi4D9），分离自温哥华岛的微生物垫中。
