We sequenced the draft genome of a P. multocida subspecies septica strain, designated HB02, a serotype A clinical isolate from a fowl cholera duck in China in 2010. Whereafter, a comparative analysis on different P. multocida subspecies including subspecies septica, gallicida and multocida was performed. Our aims are to define the genomic characterizations of different P. multocida subspecies and identify the candidate genes involved in the pathogenesis.

本研究对2010年于中国从鸭霍乱病鸭体内分离得到的血清A型临床分离株——命名为HB02的多杀性巴氏杆菌（Pasteurella multocida，简称P. multocida）败血症亚种菌株的草图基因组进行了测序。随后，本研究针对涵盖败血症亚种、禽亚种与多杀亚种在内的不同多杀性巴氏杆菌亚种开展了比较基因组分析。本研究旨在明确不同多杀性巴氏杆菌亚种的基因组特征，并鉴定参与致病机制的候选基因。
