This dataset is the supplementary material of the submitted manuscript “Decoding recycling efficiency and mechanism of Tethyan sediments in a low-angle subduction zone: Insights from the Makran arc volcanoes”. It contains three tables that provide chronological and geochemical data of Makran arc rocks, as well as carbon content data used to evaluate sediment recycling in the Makran subduction zone.
Supplementary Table S1: 40Ar/39Ar dating results for volcanic samples from the Koh-i-Sultan volcano. Detailed analytical procedures are provided in the main text.
Supplementary Table S2: Newly analyzed and compiled whole-rock geochemical data for Makran arc volcanic rocks, including major and trace element concentrations as well as Sr–Nd–Pb isotopic compositions. Analytical techniques are indicated within the table.
Supplementary Table S3: Carbon content data of sediment cores from the Makran trench, used to estimate the bulk sediment carbon budget for recycling efficiency assessment. These data are compiled from ODP/DSDP sources.
The dataset is provided in Excel format.
