<b></b>Larvae were left uninjected (UI), injected with PBS, or injected with <i>B. anthracis</i> Sterne using approximately the number of colony forming units (cfu) indicated. Each infection was repeated three independent times and total number of larvae for each condition are indicated in parentheses.实验幼虫分为三组：未注射组（UI）、磷酸缓冲盐溶液（PBS）注射组，以及以文中所示近似菌落形成单位（cfu）接种炭疽芽孢杆菌（*Bacillus anthracis*）斯特恩株的感染组。每组感染实验均独立重复三次，各实验组的幼虫总数量标注于括号内。
