Data for: Adaptive versus eductive learning: Theory and evidence

Abstract of associated article: Adaptive and eductive learning are two widely used ways of modeling the process by which agents learn a rational expectation equilibrium (REE). In this paper we report an experiment where we exploit differences in the conditions under which adaptive and eductive learning converge to REE so as to investigate which approach provides the better description of the learning behavior of human subjects. Our results suggest that the path by which the system converges appears to be a mixture of both adaptive and eductive learning model predictions.

相关论文摘要：自适应学习（adaptive learning）与演绎式学习（eductive learning）是两类被广泛用于建模经济主体习得理性预期均衡（rational expectation equilibrium, REE）过程的方法。本文开展一项实验，利用两类学习方式收敛至理性预期均衡的条件差异，探究何种建模路径能够更精准地刻画人类受试者的学习行为。实验结果表明，系统的收敛路径整体呈现出自适应学习与演绎式学习模型预测的混合特征。
