VPRS 18915 Mount Royal/Greenvale Centre Amalgamation, Minutes and Papers

This series comprises the minutes of committees responsible for the amalgamation of Mount Royal Hospital (VA 1280) and the Greenvale Centre (VA5267). The amalgamation resulted in the formation of the Melbourne Extended Care and Rehabilitation Service (VA 5265) which at the time was referred to as the North West Hospital. The committees whose minutes are included in this series are: Community Consultations Committee Amalgamation Sub-Committee Steering Committee Conjoint Board of Management of the Mount Royal Hospital and Greenvale Centre. Also included are shared services planning and patient care integration planning correspondence and papers from the Greenvale Centre. The committees whose records are included in this series were responsible for the promotion and facilitation of the integration of services between the two hospitals. This integration included objectives, programs, budget, management structure, and provision of clinical services.
