Global Mean Surface Dissolved Oxygen Reconstruction, 1950–2014

This dataset contains monthly global area-weighted mean surface dissolved oxygen reconstruction outputs from January 1950 to December 2014. It accompanies the manuscript “Reconstructing Global Mean Surface Dissolved Oxygen Since 1950 Using a Model-Guided Statistical Learning Framework.” The dataset includes the ensemble-median MGSR reconstruction, raw and smoothed uncertainty bounds, observing system simulation experiment benchmark series, CMIP6 comparison series, and selected published dissolved oxygen reconstruction products. The reconstruction is based primarily on WOD23 ship-based observations and covariance information derived from a 143-member CMIP6 ensemble.
