Eversley, London Road, Sawbridgeworth, East Hertfordshire, Hertfordshire (OASIS ID: heritage1-197829)

In order to investigate the archaeological potential of a proposed new residential development located on land at Eversley, London Road, Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, the Heritage Network was commissioned by the owners to undertake a programme of targeted trial trenching. One trial trench was excavated across the footprints of the proposed new dwellings. This revealed no archaeological features. No other features, deposits or finds were encountered on the site. On the basis of the results of the evaluation, the risks that the proposed development might disturb archaeological remains of any significance, may be modified to Low for all periods. Such features are considered to be of local significance only.

为调查英国赫特福德郡索布里奇沃思市伦敦路埃弗斯利地块拟建住宅开发项目的考古潜力，遗产网络（Heritage Network）受业主委托开展针对性试掘探沟作业。本次布设并发掘的一条试掘探沟覆盖拟建新住宅的建筑占地范围，发掘结果显示场地内未发现任何考古遗迹，亦未出现其他遗迹、堆积或出土遗物。基于本次考古评估的结果，拟建开发项目对各时期任何具有重要学术价值的考古遗存造成扰动的风险等级可调整为低风险。此类考古遗迹仅具备地方层面的考古价值。
