Data accompanying the research on leaf photosynthetic capacity and leaf chlorophyll content of different leaf ages in a subtropical evergreen coniferous forest

The relationship between Vcmax25 and leaf chlorophyll content was evaluated in a subtropical evergreen coniferous plantation. CO2 response curves of leaf photosynthesis, leaf chlorophyll content, and leaf nitrogen content were measured during the 2017 growing season at the Qianyanzhou (QYZ) Ecological Station. The objectives of this study were: (1) to investigate the relationship between Vcmax25, leaf chlorophyll content, and leaf nitrogen content in a subtropical evergreen coniferous plantation; and (2) to evaluate the relative importance of different driving variables to Vcmax25.
