Poly(A) binding proteins (PABPs) regulate mRNA fate by controlling mRNA stability and translation through interactions with both the poly(A) tail and eIF4F complex. Here we identified a protein interaction cohort for both T. brucei PABPs by cryo-mill/affinity purification-mass spectrometry.

聚腺苷酸结合蛋白(Poly(A) binding proteins,PABPs)可通过与多聚腺苷酸尾(poly(A) tail)以及真核翻译起始因子4F复合物(eIF4F complex)相互作用,调控mRNA的稳定性与翻译过程,进而调控mRNA的命运。本研究借助冷冻研磨/亲和纯化-质谱联用技术(cryo-mill/affinity purification-mass spectrometry),鉴定了布氏锥虫(Trypanosoma brucei,T. brucei)的两种PABPs的蛋白质相互作用组群。
