Diversity and distribution of microbial eukaryotes from the surface water to abyssal sediment in the Western Pacific Ocean

In this study, we investigated the vertical profiles of microbial eukaryotes throughout the deep-ocean water columns down to abyssal sediments (~ 5,840 m) and their horizontal distribution over a distance of 1,300 km in the Western Pacific Ocean by using high throughput DNA sequencing.

本研究采用高通量DNA测序（high throughput DNA sequencing）技术，对西太平洋海域水深约5840米直至深渊沉积物的完整深海水柱中的微生物真核生物垂直分布剖面，及其在1300公里跨度内的水平分布特征展开了调查研究。
