Invasive potential of the Peruvian pepper tree (Schinus molle) in South Africa

We investigated the potential of an invasive alien tree to transform vegetation by quantifying the relative abilities of the alien tree Schinus molle and dominant native trees Acacia tortilis and Rhus lancea to compete for light when growing in association within a South African semi-arid savanna.本研究通过定量对比入侵外来树种秘鲁胡椒树（Schinus molle）与南非半干旱稀树草原内优势本土树种阿拉伯胶树（Acacia tortilis）、披针叶漆树（Rhus lancea）的伴生光照竞争相对能力，探究了该入侵树种重塑植被群落的潜力。
