Parametric Discontinuity Dataset 1 (PDD1)

Parametric Discontinuity Dataset 1 (PDD1) is a colelction of 5000 meshes that comprise synthetic rock mass models in the form of 10 x 10 x 10 m cubes with discontinuities. The dataset was created as part of the paper "Rock Mass Structure Characterization Considering Finite and Folded Discontinuities: A Parametric Study" (link) where also a closer description can be found. PDD1 was then also used in a follow up study "Is Complexity the Answer to the Continuum vs. Discontinuum Question in Rock Engineering?" by Georg Erharter and Davide Elmo (2025) (link).参数不连续面数据集1（Parametric Discontinuity Dataset 1，PDD1）是一个包含5000个网格模型的数据集，这些模型均为带有不连续面的合成岩体模型，尺寸为10×10×10米的立方体。本数据集为配合论文《考虑有限不连续面与褶皱不连续面的岩体结构表征：一项参数化研究》（附链接）而构建，该论文中对本数据集有着更详尽的描述。 此后，PDD1还被Georg Erharter与Davide Elmo于2025年发表的后续研究《复杂性是否是岩石工程中连续介质与非连续介质问题的解决方案？》（附链接）所使用。
