Copper Catalysis for Selective Heterocoupling of Terminal Alkynes

A Cu-catalyzed selective aerobic heterocoupling of terminal alkynes is disclosed, which enables the synthesis of a broad range of unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes in good to excellent yields. The results disprove the long-held belief that homocouplings are exclusively favored in the Glaser–Hay reaction.本研究报道了一种铜催化的端炔选择性需氧交叉偶联反应，该方法可合成多种结构多样的不对称1,3-二炔类化合物，产物收率从中等到优异。本研究结果推翻了长期以来学界认为格拉泽-海反应（Glaser–Hay reaction）仅会发生均偶联的固有认知。
