Getting ready for eROSITA\: characterizing a well defined SZ sample of clusters

Since SZ samples are thought to be representative of the true cluster populationone can use them to estimate, and eventually correct, the biases in the scalingrelations derived with Xray selected samples. We propose to observe 18 galaxyclusters with a total exposure time of 226ks to complete the observations of thePlanck Cosmological Reference Sample consisting of 189 clusters. The oservationswill allow us to completely characterize the sample in terms of dynamical stateand therefore enable detailed studies of key cluster scaling relations. Withthese results in hand we will be able to investigate the physics behind thedifferences observed in the properties of Xray and SZ selected samples anddetermine proper bias corrections to be used in the near future with eROSITA. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
