The lichen-forming fungus Umbilicaria muehlenbergii could undergo a phenotypic transition from the yeast-like to pseudohyphal form under certain nutrient-stress conditions. It is still an open question that whether common mechanism in transcriptomic level is involved in phenotype switch of Umbilicaria muehlenbergii. Here,, we compared RNA-sequencing date of Umbilicaria muehlenbergii grown between normal and nutrient-stress culture. We found that some altered biological pathways related to carbohydrate, protein, DNA/RNA and lipid metabolism, transporting in Umbilicaria muehlenbergii under nutrient stress.

穆伦石耳(Umbilicaria muehlenbergii)作为一种地衣型真菌,在特定营养胁迫条件下可发生类酵母型至假菌丝型的表型转换。目前,该菌的表型转换是否存在转录组层面的共同调控机制,仍是一个悬而未决的科学问题。本研究对比了正常培养与营养胁迫培养条件下穆伦石耳的RNA测序(RNA-sequencing)数据,发现营养胁迫下该菌存在与碳水化合物、蛋白质、DNA/RNA、脂质代谢及物质转运相关的多条差异生物学通路。
