Environmental DNA Data of Fish Species in the Upper Yangtze River - Chishui River, China

The Chishui River is a primary tributary of the upper Yangtze River in China. Among the numerous tributaries of the Yangtze River, the Chishui River is the only natural river affected by human-made embankments. Due to the implementation of ecological conservation measures, the study area is currently more suitable for investigating fish data using environmental DNA technology. This dataset represents the environmental DNA data of fish species in the Chishui River in September 2021, comprising a total of 52 sampling points.

赤水河是中国长江上游的主要支流。在长江诸多支流中，赤水河是唯一受人工堤防影响的天然河流。得益于生态保护举措的落地实施，该研究区域如今更适于采用环境DNA（environmental DNA）技术开展鱼类相关数据调查。本数据集收录了2021年9月赤水河鱼类的环境DNA数据，共计涵盖52个采样点位。
