The SPHINX M-dwarf Spectral Grid is a novel low-resolution (R∼250) 1-D self-consistent radiative-convective thermochemical equilibrium model atmosphere and spectral grid developed by the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University, designed to characterize M-type dwarf stars. This dataset consists of 20 models covering fundamental parameters of M-dwarfs including effective temperature, gravity, metallicity, and carbon-to-oxygen ratio. The dataset incorporates state-of-the-art precomputed absorption cross-section data, with appropriate pressure broadening treatments applied to key molecular species that dominate the atmospheres of late-K and M-type stars. Applications of the SPHINX grid include improving constraints on the fundamental stellar properties of exoplanet host stars and late-type brown dwarf companions, as well as advancing the understanding of processes such as star formation, stellar dynamics, molecular formation, atmospheric opacity, and energy balance.
