CDK5 in Alzheimer's Disease

Peripheral blood was collected from 52 Saudi AD patients and 60 healthy Saudi population. Genomic DNA was extracted using standard protocols and quantified with a NanoDrop One spectrophotometer. CDK5 exons 1, 2, 6, 7, and 12 were amplified and subjected to the Sanger Sequencing method (ABI3500Analyzer). Mutation analysis focused on identifying novel genetic variants and their distribution among cases and controls.

本研究收集了52名沙特阿尔茨海默病（Alzheimer's Disease, AD）患者与60名健康沙特人群的外周血样本。采用标准实验流程提取基因组DNA，并通过NanoDrop One分光光度计完成浓度定量。对细胞周期蛋白依赖性激酶5（Cyclin-dependent kinase 5, CDK5）的第1、2、6、7及12号外显子进行扩增，随后采用桑格测序法（Sanger Sequencing），依托ABI3500Analyzer完成测序。突变分析聚焦于鉴定新型遗传变异，并分析其在病例组与对照组中的分布特征。
