Ground forest fuels data for Scots pine forests in Boiarka Forest Research Station, Kyiv oblast, Ukraine

This data collection was carried out in Scots pine (Pinus sylverstris L.) forests of Boiarka Forest Research Station, Kyiv oblast, Ukraine. This station is a unit of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences (Kyiv, Ukraine).

The data collection was fully supported by Formas, Swedish government research council for sustainable development (https://formas.se/en/). This project, 'Emergency action to collect data in war-affected Scots pine forests in Ukraine', aimed to collect a comprehensive data set on ground forest fuels in rich pine forests close to Kyiv City. This data set is used for fire behavior modeling.

Primary file, SAMPLE_DATA.xlsx contains information about samples on transects and sub-plots within sample plots (litter and duff, dead and live fuels, also snags).

Main file, PLOT_DATA.xlsx contains summary on ground fuels calculated by FIREMON methodology.

This data set also contains PDF files with raw data materials (which may contain errors on plot ID, cleaned in final data) and ZIP-archives with photos from each plot. Every person who occasionally appeared in these research photos, provided their consent for sharing these materials.

本数据集采集于乌克兰基辅州博亚尔卡森林研究站的苏格兰松（Pinus sylverstris L.）林。该研究站隶属于乌克兰生命与环境科学国立大学（National University of Life and Environmental Sciences，乌克兰基辅）。

本数据集的采集工作得到了瑞典可持续发展政府研究理事会（Formas）的全额资助。本次项目题为《乌克兰受战争影响的苏格兰松林数据紧急采集行动》，旨在针对基辅市周边的肥沃松林开展地表林下层可燃物的综合数据集采集工作，该数据集将用于火行为模拟。

核心文件SAMPLE_DATA.xlsx包含样地内样带与小样地的样本信息，涵盖枯落物、腐殖质层、死体与活体可燃物以及枯立木。

主文件PLOT_DATA.xlsx包含采用FIREMON方法学计算得到的地表可燃物汇总数据。

本数据集还包含搭载原始数据资料的PDF文件（其中可能存在样地ID错误，最终数据中已完成修正），以及各研究样地的照片ZIP压缩包。所有在这些研究照片中偶然入镜的人员均已同意共享此类资料。
