Landslides from Space - Chitan Landslide, China (7th May 2016)

Workers employed for a hydropower project in Fujian province had their dormitories close to the river. On 7th May 2016, a landslide was triggered through heavy rainfall. More than 40 construction workers died in this event. The pre-event acquisition is from 7th February 2016 (Sentinel-2) and the post-event acquisition is from 26th July 2016 (Sentinel-2). A false colour composite with near-infrared, red and green band is visualised as RGB image.
