Role of the imprinted allele of the Cdkn1c gene in mouse neocortical development

The imprinted gene Cdkn1c is maternally expressed in the mouse neocortex. However, the function of its paternal allele remains unknown. Recently, we found that the paternal allele of the Cdkn1c gene is expressed at a low level in the developing neocortex. We thus examined the role of its paternal allele in regulation of transcriptome in the neocortex.

印记基因（imprinted gene）Cdkn1c在小鼠新皮层中呈母本表达。然而，其父本等位基因的功能尚未阐明。本团队近期发现，Cdkn1c基因的父本等位基因在发育中的小鼠新皮层中呈低水平表达。因此我们探究了该基因父本等位基因在调控新皮层转录组中的作用。
