VPRS 16824 Nurses' Lectures Roll Books

The volumes record details of the attendance of nurses at lectures and the examination results of all trainee nurses between 1919 and 1962.Note that the letters B, F, H, M and S in columns denote Brighton, Frankston Orthopaedic Section, Hampton, Macedon and Sherbrooke branches respectively.The registers have been used by the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) to provide confirmation/proof of an individual's training where their certificate has been lost. This series may have been replaced by a card system though this is subject to further research. The existence of records prior to 1919 is also subject to further research. Related series include VPRS 16838 Nursing Staff Training Record Books and VPRS 16825 Pupil Nurses Registers (Ward Reports).Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 2000/0006.
