Numerous health benefits for green tea polyphenols and geranylgeraniol supplementation have been reported, but no study had evaluated the effect of their supplementation on the gut microbiome in a high-fat diet-induced type 2 diabetes animal model. In this project, we have characterized the bacterial community in the fecal materials of mice fed on high-fat diet supplemented with green tea polyphenols and geranylgeraniol . This was done using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
已有诸多研究报道绿茶多酚(green tea polyphenols)与香叶基香叶醇(geranylgeraniol)补充干预可带来多项健康获益,但目前尚无研究评估二者联合补充对高脂饮食诱导的2型糖尿病动物模型肠道微生物组的影响。本研究中,我们对饲喂添加绿茶多酚与香叶基香叶醇的高脂饮食小鼠的粪便样本中的细菌群落进行了表征,该表征工作通过16S rRNA基因测序技术完成。
