Discovery Passage Orientation Instrument Deployed 2016-03-18

The Honeywell HMR3300 Orientation (SN 32117) was deployed on 2016-03-18 at Discovery Passage. Discovery Passage is a channel that is part of Inside Passage. It is located between Vancouver Island and the Discovery Islands and north of the Georgia Strait. This device is a Orientation Instrument. Orientation instruments are used on ships, ROVs and instrument packages to record variables like heading, pitch and roll. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
