The interplay between gut microbiota and host via degradation of dietary components leading to the production of metabolites is affected by a range of factors including colonic pH and carbohydrate source. In this study, we investigate how differences in colonic pH influence the microbial composition and SCFAs production using different inulin, lactose, Galactooligosaccharides (GOS), and Fructooligosaccharide (FOS) in an in vitro colon setup.

膳食组分经降解生成代谢物,以此介导肠道菌群与宿主间的相互作用,该过程受多种因素影响,包括结肠pH值与碳水化合物来源。本研究采用体外结肠培养模型,分别使用菊粉、乳糖、低聚半乳糖(Galactooligosaccharides, GOS)与低聚果糖(Fructooligosaccharides, FOS)四种碳水底物,探究结肠pH值差异对微生物群落组成及短链脂肪酸(Short-Chain Fatty Acids, SCFAs)生成的影响。
