Celtic Sea Front - Bacterioplankton

We examined how the development of the Celtic Sea Front (CF), a tidal mixing front on the Northwest European Shelf affects bacterioplankton communities. We performed 16S-rRNA metabarcoding on 60 seawater samples collected from three depths (surface, 20m and seafloor), across two research cruises (May and September, 2018), encompassing the intra-annual range of the CF intensity.本研究探讨了西北欧洲陆架上的潮汐混合锋面——凯尔特海锋面（Celtic Sea Front，CF）的演化对浮游细菌群落的影响。我们于2018年5月与9月开展两次科考航次，采集了覆盖表层、20米水深及海底三个深度层级的60份海水样本，并针对上述样本开展16S rRNA宏条形码测序分析，采样范围涵盖了CF强度的年内变化区间。
