Processing properties of the thermoforming grade PS 486N

Excel spreadsheets containing information on physical properties of the polymer grade PS 486N for thermoformed packaging at process-relevant conditions. These include: measured shear viscosities as a function of shear rate, temperature and pressure up to 800 bar (numeric values) measured specific volumes as a function of temperature and pressure in solid and molten state (numeric values) rheological and thermodynamic material models for extrusion simulations(equations and coefficients) The viscosity data were obtained on a high-pressure capillary rheometer with slit die. For generating the data at elevated pressures (>200 bar) at process-relevant shear rates, the capillary rheometer was additionally equipped with a counter-pressure chamber. The densities were measured in a separate pvT measuring chamber with a toggle clamp for locking the die outlet.
