Lab 2 - Woodlot dataset closest trees DBH, Condition

This experiment took place in Danby Woodlot, at the Keele campus of York University on September 24, 2015 at 4:30pm. The temperature s was 21 °C. The purpose of the experiment was to observe and compare trees (that were above 3 feet in height) and the closest tree next to it along the transect which was placed randomly. The diameter at breast height (DBH) for each pair was measured in feet and inches. The distance between the two trees was measured in feet and inches. The conditions of both trees were visually observed to determine the level of livingness on scale from 0-2. The sample size was 20. The group members of group 4 including myself (Stephanie) were Amandeep, Vivian and Alexander.

本实验于2015年9月24日16时30分，在约克大学（York University）基尔校区的丹比林地开展。实验期间气温为21摄氏度。本实验旨在观察并比较沿随机布设的样带（transect）上、高度超过3英尺的单棵树木与其相邻最近的另一棵树木。每对树木的胸径（diameter at breast height，DBH）以英尺与英寸为单位进行测量，两棵树木之间的间距同样以英尺与英寸为单位测定。研究人员通过目视观测两棵树木的生长状况，依据0至2级的分级标准判定其存活等级。本实验样本量为20。第4小组成员包括我（斯蒂芬妮）、阿曼迪普、维维安与亚历山大。
