Neomorphus geoffroyi isolate:LSUMZ B-2286 Genome sequencing and assembly

Neomorphus geoffroyi (rufous-vented ground cuckoo) Sequence Assembly Release NotesBackground:The rufous-vented ground cuckoo (family Cuculidae) is a large ground-dwelling cuckoo found across various countries in Central and South America. It is a parental cuckoo species that builds a nest, incubates eggs and rears its own offspring. Rufous-vented ground cuckoo high molecular weight (HMW) DNA isolated for sequencing is derived from an adult female provided by the Louisiana Museum of Natural History at Louisiana State University (LSUMZ B-2286). HMW DNA was used as input to generate Hifi reads using the Sequel II instrument (Pacific Biosciences) on Hifi mode. Total coverage used for assembly was 44x using a genome size estimate of 1.20 GB. 棕腹地鹃（Neomorphus geoffroyi, rufous-vented ground cuckoo）基因组组装发布说明

背景：棕腹地鹃（rufous-vented ground cuckoo，隶属于杜鹃科Cuculidae）是一种大型地栖杜鹃，分布于中美洲及南美洲多国。该物种为抚育型杜鹃，会自行筑巢、孵卵并抚育后代。用于测序的棕腹地鹃高分子量（high molecular weight, HMW）DNA，提取自路易斯安那州立大学自然历史博物馆提供的一只成年雌性个体（标本编号LSUMZ B-2286）。以该高分子量DNA为起始材料，使用PacBio Sequel II测序仪（Pacific Biosciences）的HiFi模式生成HiFi测序读段。组装所用的总测序深度为44×，预估基因组大小为1.20 Gb。所有经过质量过滤的测序读段均使用Hifiasm v0.19.3-r572软件，以默认参数进行基因组组装。本研究得到美国国家科学基金会（National Science Foundation, NSF）项目DBI 1754311、1754397、1754406、1754643及1940624资助。
