Prevalence and Risk Factors of Hypertension among Young Adults: an Indonesian Basic Health Survey

Abstract Hypertension patients aged under 40 years have low awareness, under-diagnosis, hence, poor blood pressure control. The prevalence of undiagnosed hypertension in men and women aged 26 to 35 years is 55% and 44%, respectively. This study aimed to provide information on the prevalence and risk factors for hypertension among young adults based on the basic health survey (Riset Kesehatan Dasar; RISKESDAS) in Indonesia. Method: This cross-sectional study utilized secondary data from the RISKESDAS 2018 with a total of 140,073 subjects aged 26-35 years. The characteristics of the subjects were presented as proportion. This study performed a chi-square test and involved multivariate analysis using binary logistic regression for all parameters with p-value <0.25 in the chi-square test

摘要：40岁以下高血压患者知晓率偏低、诊断不足，进而导致血压控制效果不佳。26至35岁人群中，未诊断高血压的患病率在男性和女性中分别为55%与44%。本研究旨在基于印度尼西亚全国基本健康调查（Riset Kesehatan Dasar; RISKESDAS），获取年轻成年人高血压患病率及危险因素相关信息。方法：本项横断面研究采用2018年全国基本健康调查的二级数据，纳入共计140073名26至35岁的研究对象。研究对象的特征以构成比形式呈现。本研究先开展卡方检验，随后针对卡方检验中P值<0.25的所有参数，采用二元logistic回归进行多因素分析。
