Metagenomic and 16S metataxonomic sequencing of pleural fluid

Shotgun Illumina PE metagenomic sequencing, and paired 16S V3-V4 ribosomal RNA bacterial metataxonomic sequencing, of pleural fluid specimens obtained from people residing on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, who were diagnosed with or without pleural space infections between March and November 2022. Reagent-only controls and healthy sputum controls have also been included to control for background microbial signal.

本数据集包含2022年3月至11月期间，采集自澳大利亚阳光海岸地区、确诊或未确诊胸腔感染的居民的胸腔积液标本的两类测序数据：其一为鸟枪式Illumina双端（Paired-End, PE）宏基因组测序，其二为配对16S V3-V4区核糖体RNA细菌宏分类组测序。此外，本数据集还纳入了仅试剂对照与健康痰液对照，用于校正背景微生物信号。
