Coexistence of conventional and transgenic soybean in Brazil

Data of a survey about farmers soybean growing, mainly in Paranà State, by using transgenic varieties (RoundUp Ready), along, or not, conventional varieties. The data collected helped to quantitatively assess the phenomenon of coexistence of the two types of soybean, between farms or within farms. The qualitative information obtained through interviewing a subset of farmers, not shared in this dataset, provided the materials to address the issues of royalties payment for the use of transgenic seeds and governance of the conditions in using these latter.

本数据集为一项大豆种植农户调研的相关数据，调研主要聚焦巴西巴拉那州（Paranà State）的农户，内容涵盖仅种植抗农达（RoundUp Ready）转基因大豆品种，或同时种植该转基因品种与常规大豆品种的种植模式。所采集的量化数据可用于定量评估两类大豆品种在农场间及单农场内部的共存现象。本次调研通过对部分农户开展访谈获取了定性信息，但该部分内容未纳入本数据集，相关定性资料可为探讨转基因种子使用的特许权付费问题及此类种子使用条件的治理议题提供支撑。
